2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, 6-1, 7-1 and 8-1 all have hidden 1ups that are only there if you collected all the coins in the preceeding x-3 world or if you warped there. e.g. get all the coins in 7-3 and 8-1 will have the hidden 1 up or warp to 8-1 and it'll be there.

I always found 8-Man's vocalizations in this game funny. When he gets hit, he goes "OOH!" And when he dies, he goes "WAH!"

This may be the only 8-Man game ever made for the speedy cyborg superhero. But its a fun and solid game nevertheless. And it was nice of Neo-Geo to make this game.

What kind of STD did that hooker have? In later versions of the game your junk inflates and pops if you don't use protection. Never seen an STD do that.

People don't give Athena enough of a chance. Yeah, the game is hard as balls, and can drive someone crazy if they don't memorize where the important items are, but that being said, it is far from being a bad game. Plus we would not have Athena Asamiya from KOF without Princess Athena. I find the NES/Famicom version to be easier than the arcade version despite the inferior graphics and sound, but the ending could mislead someone into thinking the game froze, which is the biggest issue for me.

yeah fairly sure the levels are randomized lol. i can't find the level i'm stuck on (called carry) in this or other videos. also couldn't find deep cuts in a different video edit: just found carry in a speedrun video, weird how it's always different edit 2: chapter 2 seems to have just one set of levels, at least so far. at least i can use your walkthrough finally!

They don't make games like this anymore, although the technology is literally thousands of times better.

So strange that they suddenly decided to give the sequel a weird story, while the original game was just pure, storyless racing.

Interesting game. Reminds me of Death Track Resurrection and Fire & Forget Final Assault but faster, more dynamic and better looking. All tho it sucks that this game is only on consoles.

Fun fact, the protagonist's name is a reference to Chris Vrenna, a drummer who did a lot of work with NIN and Marilyn Manson around that time. Two bands which were immensely popular among that group of developers (some of the people who workedon Abuse also worked on Doom, and Vrenna himself went on to work on Doom 3 and Quake 4, so he was kind of a big deal.)
